Design & Build

App Development

Mobile and web apps built from concept through to app store launch. This is the highest-cost, longest-timeline service in our catalog — real software takes real time to get right, and we would rather tell you that upfront than underquote it.

  • iOS, Android, and web app builds
  • MVP-focused builds for startups
  • Starting at $2,500 per project
What's Included

From Idea to App Store

App projects are scoped individually — the range of work below is what a typical engagement covers.

Mobile Apps

Native or cross-platform builds for iOS and Android, matched to your budget and requirements.

Web Apps

Browser-based applications for workflows a plain website cannot handle.

MVP-Focused Builds

A lean, functional first version for startups who need to test an idea before committing to a full build.

Wireframes & Concept

The screens and flows mapped out and agreed before any development begins.

App Store Submission

We handle the submission process for the Apple App Store and Google Play Store on your behalf.

Post-Launch Support

A handoff to ongoing support once the app is live, so bugs and updates have somewhere to go.

Approach

Being Honest About Cost and Timeline

Native or cross-platform

Native development (built separately for iOS and Android) generally gives the best performance and platform fit, at a higher cost. Cross-platform frameworks share more code across both platforms and can reduce cost and timeline, with some tradeoffs in performance and access to newer platform features. Which one fits is decided together during scoping, based on your budget and what the app actually needs to do.

Why this is our highest-cost service

An app is software, not a set of pages — it has states, edge cases, device variability, and a review process controlled by Apple and Google, none of which exists with a website. We would rather quote it accurately than promise a website-style timeline and miss it.

Process

How an App Project Runs

01

Discover & Scope

We define what the app needs to do, for whom, and agree a written scope and quote.

02

Wireframes & Design

Screens and user flows are mapped and designed before a line of code is written.

03

Build & Test

Development proceeds with regular check-ins, followed by structured testing across devices.

04

Launch & Support

App store submission, launch, and a handoff to ongoing support once the app is live.

FAQ

App Development Questions

Native or cross-platform — which do you build?

Both are options. Native suits apps that need maximum performance or deep platform-specific features; cross-platform suits apps that need to reach iOS and Android on a tighter budget or timeline. We recommend one based on your goals during scoping, not by default.

Do you handle app store submission?

Yes. We prepare and submit the app to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, and handle the back-and-forth if either platform requests changes before approval.

What happens after launch?

Apps need ongoing attention — operating system updates, bug fixes, and small improvements. This continues either through Website Care & Maintenance or a dedicated support arrangement, scoped to your app.

Why does app development cost more than a website?

An app has more moving parts than a website: multiple screens and states, device and operating system variability, and an app store review process to pass. It genuinely takes more time to build and test properly, which is reflected in the starting price.
